Get ready for an exciting celebration of local food, culture, and natural wonders with the 20th Annual Pawpaw Festival, hosted by the Horn Farm Center, as part of the new Wild & Uncommon Weekend from September 26th-29th, 2024! This four-day event features a series of unique activities, tastings, tours, and experiences across the Lower Susquehanna Region, with over 14 destinations participating. Firefly Hollow Holistic Wellness Center is just one of these destinations offering the Pawpaw Dessert & Mocktail Afterparty!
The highlight of the weekend is the Pawpaw Festival, happening Saturday, September 28th, from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Horn Farm Center. This one-day event will showcase the native pawpaw fruit, a rare and delicious treat that draws visitors from across the country. Festival-goers can enjoy pawpaw tastings, browse local vendors, and explore the farm’s educational programs, all while celebrating this special fruit that thrives in the diverse ecosystem of York County.
In addition to the pawpaw, the festival will feature a range of seasonal foods, food trucks, and plant nurseries offering native and earth-friendly plants. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about land stewardship, ecological diversity, and the cultural significance of the pawpaw fruit.

From 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, unwind with friends and fellow festival-goers while indulging in delicious, handcrafted treats created by The Sweet Botanist. Known for using locally sourced, organic ingredients, The Sweet Botanist has crafted a special menu of pawpaw-themed mocktails and desserts for this event—perfect for those who want to savor the flavors of the pawpaw fruit in creative, new ways.
