The New Visions Holistic Expo Experience

New Visions Holistic Expo Roots

This event started in 2001 by Bill Trivett & Bob Hall of New Visions Books & Gifts. From starting out with 25 vendors to now over 100 vendor booths, the event has grown tremendously!

Was it word of mouth, the old snail mail letters sent out to guests before the advent of social media, the amazing speakers, (including famous author Ted Andrews who spoke at the event years ago), or the high vibe community support?

Maybe all of it!  The community of holistically minded guests & vendors that join together each year for this event served to grow this event to become one of the largest & longest running holistic events in Central PA.

 

Fun New Visions Holistic Expo History Facts!

The event has had 4 previous locations including Days Inn off of Route 30, York College, and York Expo Center Buildings (Horticulture Hall, Old Main, & Presently Memorial Hall East).

Bob Hall came up with the original name the “Celebration of Life Holistic Expo” (way before that term was used to refer to someone’s passing).  In 2018 the event name was changed officially to the “New Visions Holistic Expo”.

The expo has had some unique visitors including special guest international best selling Tarot artist Erik C. Dunne, the Buddha Maitreya Nuns, special guest musicians, (including Warner Bros. Artist Helena Protopappas),  and the event even once featured a flash mob organized by Bill Trivett’s long time friend, Chris Quigley, associated with the former York Little Theatre. (Presently Belmont Theatre)

The Next Generation of New Visions Holistic Expo Directors

In 2022 New Visions Books & Gifts community partner Firefly Hollow Holistic Wellness center owner Kara Lovehart and Matt Suter were given the torch to continue this event as Bob has entered into retirement from expo duties. With their dedication to continuing the high caliber of professionals, good energy, and community connections, they continue to expand the event and it’s legacy.
